– “No. 739 is situated towards the rear of its original lot and is now obscured by a relocated bungalow and heavy vegetation. It is also possibly related to the railway development, or is possibly the homestead of a small farm holding (it is visible in the historic image in #2). QV dates the property to 1925, which would make it a contemporary of the bungalows at no.’s 743-747 Swanson Road. The house has lost its original lot context, as the front section has been subdivided and a bungalow relocated in. Little is currently known about the history of the dwelling, but it has the potential to be a tangible reminder of the area’s twentieth century settlement and subsequent development.
